What we’re looking for

We are seeking a Mobile Architect who will report to the Director of Architecture and Engineering. This role involves collaborating with internal Audi Red architecture team members and agency partners to evaluate and address business and technology requirements, formulateoptimalpractice solutions, and designstate-of-the-artarchitecture and engineering systems across various business domains. The ideal candidate is a seasoned software engineer with multi-disciplinary architecture experience, who excels in mentoring teams, advocating for clientneeds while adhering to best practices and technical superiority.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to complex technical challenges.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal form, translating complex technical concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Influence platform strategy, architectural direction, and roadmap decisions throughexpertiseand collaboration, without relying on direct authority.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to product, engineering, and leadership teams on mobile architecture, technical strategy, and long-term platform evolution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define business challenges, assess feasibility,establishpriorities, and develop architecture strategies and technology roadmaps.
  • Prototype, evaluate, andvalidatetechnology solutions independently and collaboratively to inform architectural decisions.
  • Provide informed perspectives on emerging technologies and architectural options to business and technology leaders.
  • Identify, recommend, and drive modernization opportunities across platforms and clientsolutions.
  • Guide solution architects and engineers in technical decision-making, ensuring alignmentwith architectural standards and engineering best practices across partner agencies.
  • Design and implementsophisticated, scalable technology solutions to address complex, multi-domain, and multi-industry challenges.
  • Oversee agency partner execution and activelyparticipatein clientarchitecture forums to ensure alignment, quality, and delivery excellence.
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in hands-on mobile application development
  • 3+ years of hands-on architecture experience in an architectural or leadrolepreferably inenterpriseorganization.
  • Experience with native mobile languages (Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android)
  • Defined, evolved, and governed mobile architecture strategies aligned with businessobjectives, platform roadmaps, andenterprisetechnology standards.
  • Provided architectural leadership across multiple mobile engineering teams, ensuring consistency, interoperability, and long-term technical alignment.
  • Partnered closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and fellow architects to deliver scalable, secure, and user-centric mobile solutions.
  • Designed modular, reusable mobile architecturesenablingfaster development, easier maintenance, and improved team autonomy.
  • Led architecture reviews, resolved cross-team dependencies, and addressed architectural risks across iOS, Android, and cross-platform solutions.
  • Translated business and product requirements into high-level designs, architecture diagrams, and detailed technical blueprints.
  • Oversaw integration of mobile applications with backend services, REST andGraphQLAPIs, and third-party systems to ensure seamless data flow and performance.
  • Applied mobile security best practices including secure authentication, encryption, vulnerability management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Championed performance optimization techniques covering memory management, network efficiency, responsiveness, and battery usage.
  • Established and improved CI/CD pipelines, enabling reliable builds, automated testing, and streamlined app store releases.
  • Mentored senior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and continuous improvementinitiatives.
  • Evaluated and recommended emerging mobile technologies, frameworks, and tools to support long-term platform evolution.
  • Maintained clear architectural documentation to support knowledge sharing and consistency across teams.
