Our Whiteshell location is seeking a Millwright Apprentice to complete training and assist with mechanical maintenance, focusing on the fabrication, installation, maintenance, repair, and revision of mechanical equipment, structures, and items.

What will you be doing?

• Carrying out rigging, handling, and transporting heavy machines, including equipment, cable, and rope splicing.
• Completing task assignments, including work planning.
• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, within quality assurance and regulatory standards.
• Interacting with zone supervisors, colleagues, and customers.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace.
• Providing excellent customer service by interpreting requirements and producing products to specifications.
• Reading and interpreting work instructions and materials using clear verbal and written communication.
• Performing other duties as assigned by your manager.

What we are looking for:

• Education: Secondary School Diploma; post-secondary education or equivalent work experience is a plus; enrolled in a formal Apprenticeship Program with the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development.
• Experience: Knowledge of rigging, splicing, machining, overhaul, and maintenance.
• Skills & Abilities: Ability to read blueprints, measure and estimate materials, work independently, and possess preventative and predictive maintenance skills.
• Security Clearance: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), requiring 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the U.S., or the U.K.

Working Conditions:

• Four-day workweek, ten hours per day, starting at 6 am.
• Work in varying temperatures, confined spaces, heights, and radiation environments.
