What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Operating hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, setup, and repair of machinery.
  • Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts.
  • Operating machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery.
  • Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery.
  • Constructing foundations for machinery.
  • Assembling machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
  • Training new hires and/or apprentices on the intricacies of the job.
  • Ensuring that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health and Safety Systems are met.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • College degree or Trade School Certification.
  • Three to five years of experience.
  • Strong background in hydraulics and pneumatics as well as some welding experience.
  • Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
  • Proficiency in Math.
Work Environment (including Physical Demands):
  • Work indoors; environment can be noisy and involve different temperatures.
  • Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, such as heavy lifting, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
  • Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Work shifts may include days, afternoons, nights, or continental.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Ability to work overtime when required/requested.
