About the Position

This is a temporary part‑time support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Associate VP Student Success & Global Engagement, working 14 hours per week at an hourly rate of $28.60. This role will run from January 5, 2026 – March 31, 2026. The Mental Health Project Assistant position supports campus mental health initiatives by coordinating administrative tasks, providing project support, and assisting with outreach activities.

Administrative Support
  • Answering emails
  • Scheduling meetings as needed
  • Entering data and transcribing correspondence
Project Support
  • Assisting in the planning and implementation of programs, such as workshops or peer support networks.
  • Coordinating and participating in activities like outreach events to promote the project.
Student Support
  • Providing information about the survey and other campus supports if needed during student outreach sessions.
  • Monitoring progress of the survey and putting out social media and other marketing materials to promote as needed.
Qualifications
  • At minimum a two‑year Community College diploma, or equivalent – preference will be given to those with a Mental Health focus.
  • Up to four years of practical experience – in a mental health related field & working with post‑secondary students & diverse populations.
  • Job duties require the ability to organise & multi‑task, knowledge of mental health principles & procedures.
