As Knew House continues to grow, we are seeking a part-time Membership Manager, based in Winnipeg, Toronto, or Vancouver, who will play a central role in protecting the member experience, supporting the Founder, and ensuring the community continues to operate with calm, intention, and consistency.

About the Role

The Membership Manager is the steady presence behind the scenes at Knew House; maintaining order, managing communications, and helping members feel supported and connected. As the community continues to grow, we’re at a stage where dedicated support ensures the member experience remains thoughtful, seamless, and consistent. You will bring warmth, professionalism, emotional intelligence, and operational excellence to every interaction. The work blends member experience, community engagement, light executive assistant duties, and event coordination, helping ensure that nothing falls through the cracks and that the culture of Knew House remains strong and intentional.

Key Responsibilities
Member Experience & Communications
  • Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for Knew House members.
  • Manage scheduling, reminders, RSVPs, follow-ups, and online community touchpoints.
  • Prepare and oversee onboarding for new members, including materials, introductions, and welcome workflows.
  • Maintain a communication tone that is warm, calm, polished, and respectful.
Member Meeting Coordination
  • Prepare agendas, reminders, materials, and meeting logistics (virtual or in-person).
  • Manage last-minute changes (cancellations, substitutions, adjustments).
Event & Retreat Support
  • Coordinate workshops, social gatherings, and retreats (booking venues, vendors, catering, speakers).
  • Provide on-site support for major events and retreats.
  • Manage budgets, purchases, and event-related tracking.
Founder Support (Light EA)
  • Support the Founder by managing logistics, navigating member dynamics, and communications.
  • Draft member communications (updates, announcements, reminders).
  • Maintain systems, Standard Operating Procedures, documents, calendars, and recurring task lists.
Operational Rhythm & Systems
  • Strengthen and maintain tools such as Google Workspace, Asana, Calendly, Zoom, WIX, and community platforms.
  • Track renewals, payments, engagement, and House balance.
  • Support processes related to onboarding, renewals, and the member experience.
Must-Haves
  • Experience in event coordination, community management, hospitality, or executive/admin roles.
  • Warm, calm, confident communication style.
  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal judgment.
  • Exceptional organization, follow-through, and ability to anticipate needs.
  • Diplomatic, mature, and comfortable handling sensitive member dynamics.
  • Tech-savvy across Google Workspace, Canva, simple CRMs, Zoom, calendars, and communication tools.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience supporting founders or executives.
  • Background in boutique hospitality, coaching, wellness, or member-based programs.
  • Experience running small-group events or online communities.
  • Basic copywriting skills.
