Position Summary

The Medical Office Assistant / Front Desk role at WELL Health Clinic is a dynamic and integral position responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of the clinic. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented, and organized individual who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment. The role involves a wide range of tasks, from preparing doctor's rooms to assisting with administrative and clinical duties, contributing to the clinic's overall success.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Administrative duties - answer calls and greet patients in a helpful, respectful, and efficient manner, schedule appointments, manage referrals, result management and handle billing.
  • Lab Duties - including collecting and preparing laboratory specimens or performing basic laboratory tests on the premises, dispose of contaminated supplies, and sterilize medical instruments.
  • Patient Care duties – coordinate patient care through the clinic: checking in, prepping, escorting to exam rooms, preparing exam or treatment rooms, answering questions, providing post-appointment service, monitoring the waiting room.
  • General duties – ensure patient information remains confidential and secure. Perform all other related clinical, administrative tasks or special tasks as required by clinic management.
You Have
  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Exceptional customer service skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Ability to analyze, problem-solve and take the initiative
  • Open and accountable
  • Ability to work varying shift patterns as needed by the clinic (including evenings and weekends)
  • Experience as an MOA or MOA programs certification is an asset
  • Experience with EMR system OSCAR and a good understanding of MSP billing are assets

The salary offered for this position falls within a specified salary range and will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific needs of the organization.
