Qualifications

Are YOU our next Medical Laboratory Technologist?

We’re looking for a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Chemistry team in London, Ontario. You will be responsible for delivering in a timely manner the highest level of clinical and scientific quality to everyone we serve with a variety of testing using the latest technology. Your contributions will make a difference – the results and reports you deliver will be provided to physicians and greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone’s life.

Status: Permanent Full Time

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Discipline: Chemistry

Work Style: Onsite

Location: 245 Pall Mall St, London, Ontario

How YOU will make a difference:
  • Ensuring sample identification is correct and specimen requirements are met according to established procedures.
  • Performing routine testing duties within Chemistry which includes but not limited to analyzer maintenance, calibration, QC and troubleshooting.
  • Ensuring quality control standards are maintained, investigating missing samples and performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
  • Recording, interpreting and/or approving test results.
  • Identifying and reporting of incidents and non-conformities
What YOU bring to the role:
  • You thrive independently, applying sound decision making principles and ability to self‑manage in fast‑paced environment
  • You bring a high level of interpersonal skills and you are a natural fit within a collaborative working environment
  • Carry a CMLTO Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level
  • Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution
  • Nice to have: working experience in the Chemistry field, knowledge and understanding of CQI, knowledge of IQMH/Accreditation Canada
