The Position

Eclipse Automation is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Team Lead to join our expanding nuclear mechanical engineering team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Team Lead will provide leadership and oversight of mechanical engineering activities, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and reliability.

In this essential role, the incumbent will collaborate closely with project managers, customers, and engineering teams to manage project scope, schedules, and budgets, driving successful outcomes that align with Eclipse’s standards and goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering design activities, ensuring high standards in quality, reliability, and safety
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, updating project milestones and progress regularly
  • Mentor and train team members, fostering collaboration and a positive work environment
  • Conduct risk assessments and support health, safety, and environmental initiatives throughout the project lifecycle
  • Oversee project execution to meet scope, budget, and schedule, coordinating with various departments to ensure on-time delivery
  • Drive continuous improvement by recommending process and technology enhancements to boost efficiency
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards in all business activities, ensuring full compliance with Eclipse's Code of Conduct

What We’re Looking For

  • An educational background in Engineering or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in the custom automation industry, with 4+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to motivate teams and manage multiple projects
  • The ability to address issues proactively, make decisions under pressure, and uphold high ethical standards
  • Solid expertise with SolidWorks and MS Office, plus experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical controls
