A staffing agency is seeking a Material Handler in St. Catharines, Ontario. Job Title: Material Handler (Forklift Certified)

Rate of Pay: $23.00/hour

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:30pm

Location: St. Catharines, Ontario - Dunkirk Rd. and Welland Ave.

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Hire

We are hiring a Material Handler in St. Catharines! This facility manufactures large, high-quality trucks and trucking equipment. Candidates must have 1-2 years of experience in a similar material handler role and have a valid counterbalance forklift license. You must be able to lift 50lbs throughout the shift and assist with other tasks as needed.

YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN VEHICLE AND VALID LICENSE AS THE FACILITY IS NOT TRANSIT ACCESSIBLE. THIS IS A CLIENT REQUIREMENT.

Job Responsibilities:

• Repetitively move product that weighs up to 50lbs
• Working at a fast pace, picking and packing orders to meet daily shipment quotas
• Loading and unloading trailers manually and using a counterbalance forklift, tow motor, and pump truck
• Sorting, put-away, and staging of product
• Maintaining inventory accuracy and control and completing inventory counts
• Run KanBan routes as laid out in the KanBan documentation
• Stacking boxes and wrapping skids, moving loose product, and totes
• Work closely with the Inventory Manager and warehouse team
• Other general warehouse duties as required

Candidate Qualifications:

• Long-term experience in similar fast-paced warehouse/general labour role required
• Must be comfortable with general labour and repetitively lifting 50lbs
• Must have valid counterbalance forklift license
• Must be available for overtime as needed
• Must have valid Driver's License and own vehicle
• CSA approved safety shoes required
• Willing to provide a Criminal Record Search
