Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
The Material Handler will provide a multifunctional role within Distribution & Logistics performing a variety of duties to ensure the facility acquires and maintains the required supply, delivery and inventory management within a computerized environment (i.e., SAP). The incumbent must be an effective communicator (verbal and written), provide excellent customer service, and demonstrate the ability to work closely and cooperatively with others within the hospital setting. Examples of tasks range from picking items out of the warehouse, operating a tugger, putting away supplies on the wards, and delivery of non‑SCM items such as specimens, medical records or distribution of linen. A Material Handler has excellent problem‑solving and interpersonal skill, able to work independently with minimal supervision and manages their time efficiently.
