Job summary

A prominent pharmaceutical company in Peel Region, Mississauga is looking for a warehouse operator. Responsibilities include picking drug components, organizing supplies, and ensuring safety compliance. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in a production or warehousing role, preferably in a GMP environment. Forklift training and knowledge of quality control practices are assets. Summary of Objective:

To move materials between the warehouse and packaging lines as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Pick drug & packaging components as per the approved picklist, and stage in the packaging rooms for production. Move line waste and line returns into the designated locations in the warehouse.

Pallet wraps, labels & delivers finished goods to the warehouse.

Stocks and organizes incoming supplies, materials and skids in the Warehouse racking.

Responsible for general housekeeping and safety of the warehouse, i.e. piling and organizing skids, keeping aisles clear, ensuring warehouse entrance and exit points are kept clear, etc.

Replenishes consumable goods on the production floor.

Assists with the counting of inventory through routine cycle counts.

Responsible for working in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures.

Properly uses personal protection and safety equipment as required.

Reports any injury or illness immediately and notifies BPS of any hazards, unsafe acts or conditions in the workplace.

This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.

Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.

Attendance to work is an essential function of this position.

Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

Required:

Minimum of 2 years of experience within production or warehousing role, GMP environment is preferred.

High school diploma preferred. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills required, with the ability to read and comprehend SOPs and other written documentation.

Flexible with the ability to adapt, respond quickly and manage change in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Preferred:
  • Fork lift training on Reach truck and counterbalance an asset
  • Previous experience working in a cGMP/pharmaceutical or production environment is an asset
  • Knowledge of quality control practices an asset
  • Previous experience with RF scanners, working in an ERP system an asset
