Company Description

Founded in 2019, Retrokid has quickly become one of North America’s fastest growing pop culture brands celebrating childhood memories, forgotten favourites, authentic collaborations, timeless designs, original product designs, and elevated apparel.

Partnering with some of the industry’s biggest studios, Retrokid has seen incredible success merchandising classic brands including Harry Potter, Sesame Street, Fraggle Rock, The Flintstones, and has become the leading partner to re-establish forgotten brands like The Big Comfy Couch, Arthur, SCTV, and Polly Pocket.

With a strong focus on selling emotion and curating childhood memories through premium apparel and accessories, Retrokid is poised to change the pop-culture landscape with expansion into larger studio collaborations, live events, extended product lines, and one of a kind pop-up experiences.

Job Description

As our Director of Marketing, you will oversee and lead the development of all aspects of our marketing funnel and brand strategy throughout the company. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will manage the creation and deployment of high-impact campaigns, foster high-profile licensing relationships, translate market intelligence to actionable sales and product strategies, and deliver integrated marketing plans that meet company objectives and financial targets. This role is for a senior marketing executive who thrives in a fast-paced environment, with a strong retail marketing or CPG background, DTC e-commerce experience, and an all-in leader who’s willing to get their hands dirty.

We’re specifically looking for someone who can translate their superpowers of influence and storytelling into repeatable marketing tactics resulting in significant sales performance.

At Retrokid, we bring passion and beloved memories to every brand we work with. It’s equally important that our staff live and breathe our industry, meaning a deep understanding of North American pop culture and nostalgia, is of vital importance to this role.
