The role will work as part of a cross functional and collaborative team that is responsible for developing and executing a marketing strategy. The Marketing Coordinator will gain valuable skills in developing competencies in marketing execution, communication, and business acumen.

Summary

Responsible for supporting tactical marketing initiatives across BD Biosciences and BD Diagnostics within the BD Canada Life Sciences Segment. This role is part of a collaborative, cross-functional team focused on developing and executing strategic marketing plans. The Marketing Coordinator will gain hands-on experience and build core competencies in marketing execution, communication, and business acumen.

Responsibilities
  • Marketing Collateral Management
    • Manage translation, copy approval, printing, and updates within relevant systems.
    • Translation, copy approval, printing, and updates/maintenance of marketing and sales content.
    • Manage regional marketing content and collateral approval workflows.
    • Coordinate marketing spend invoices and track against budget.
    • Manage and oversee the content management system.
  • Event Coordination
    • Prepare and follow up on Marketing and Clinical documentation to ensure compliance and timely payments.
    • Maintenance of national conference calendar.
    • Coordinate logistics for conferences, including inventory and supply management.
    • Assist with tradeshow planning and execution.
    • Support webinar communications and logistics.
    • Organize logistics for events, advisory boards, and other customer-facing activities.
    • Maintain laboratory space for customer visits.
  • General Duties
    • Provide administrative support to the Marketing team.
    • Execution of marketing promotions/campaigns as required.
    • RFP sample coordination as required.
    • Maintain marketing general inbox email account.
    • Support product activation and discontinuation processes.
    • Handle customer inquiries and lead management.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in life sciences or related discipline is required.
  • 1-3 years experience in medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • High learning agility with ability to pivot quickly to adapt to changing needs is required.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication is required.
  • Strong decision making, problem solving and troubleshooting skills is required.
  • Strong organization and time management skills is required.
