Job description
  • Consults with and is the relationship lead with various organizational stakeholders including Deans, Associate Deans, Programs Heads, Faculty, Directors, Managers and staff to understand their business needs and develops marketing and communications solutions to achieve their objectives.
  • Works collaboratively to lead and manage the development of creative, innovative and strategic marketing and communications initiatives within their portfolio to meet objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Implements, monitors and adjusts marketing strategies and tactics in alignment with KPIs.
  • Guides and influences stakeholders on marketing concepts, processes and innovative marketing and communications techniques to build brand strength.
  • Manages a portfolio as a primary contact representing marketing and communications on a regular basis with their assigned stakeholders.
  • Leads projects from conception to completion while working collaboratively with colleagues and departments. Develops detailed project plans, sets milestones, deliverables, processes and outcomes. Manages project timelines and processes while providing timely and relevant communication with stakeholders.
  • Works closely in multi-departmental groups in problem identification and resolution as it relates to often complex recruitment and enrolment strategies and data, and makes recommendations on appropriate courses of action.
  • Project manages organizational marketing and communications deliverables including reports, collateral, print and digital advertising, etc.
  • Creates and delivers advertising content on various digital platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google, YouTube, Tiktok, Snapchat, etc.
  • Uses various tools and platforms to monitor and adjust activities based on marketing effectiveness. Measures, analyzes and reports on marketing and advertising metrics.
  • Builds and maintains relationships while planning and executing on projects with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engages with external stakeholders including marketing agencies, industry partners, government agencies, consultants and vendors to develop and implement marketing strategies.
  • Develops plans and negotiates with vendors and advertising partners for media placements in alignment with marketing strategies.
  • Researches market trends, recommends innovative marketing ideas, and provides advice on brand and product positioning.
  • Develops and project manages strategy and content for paid and digital marketing while ensuring synergy across tactics, campaigns and channels. This includes facilitating photo and video shoots as well as coordinating testimonials and stories.
  • Provides recommendations for website content updates and works with stakeholders to develop content in alignment with best practices in web, search and digital platforms.
  • Monitors digital trends, experiments with digital tools and promotes Sask Polytech’s online presence.
  • Monitors and manages budgets related to marketing and communications activities outlined in the marketing plans. Ensures timely reconciliation of expenditures in alignment with organizational processes.
