We bring advanced technology solutions to small-to-medium sized enterprises. We offer IT consulting, managed services, asset management, system design and installation, custom software and web development services, and training and user support services.

We’re hiring a hands-on Marketing Assistant to help us build consistent outbound activity and improve how we present SmartLayer in the market. You’ll work directly with company leadership and our technical teams to support day-to-day marketing execution, light sales enablement, and lead-generation efforts.

This role is ideal for someone who’s organized, proactive, and enjoys turning vague ideas into finished output.

What You'll Do

Sales enablement & lead support

  • Maintain and improve our outreach platform/contact lists (clean data, tagging, segmentation, follow-ups).
  • Support outreach campaigns (email/LinkedIn sequences, event invites, partner outreach).
  • Help prepare proposals, one-pagers, capability decks, and client-facing materials.
  • Track inbound leads and ensure follow-up happens (routing, reminders, basic qualification).

Marketing execution

  • Update website content (working with designers/contractors when needed).
  • Coordinate case studies/testimonials (draft, format, publish).
  • Create and schedule content (LinkedIn posts, newsletters, announcements).
  • Assist with campaigns around key services (M365, cybersecurity, datacenter, custom software, AI enablement).

Research & coordination

  • Market/competitor research and simple reporting.
  • Maintain a marketing calendar and keep tasks moving with deadlines.
  • Coordinate vendors: printing, design, web, photography, event logistics.
Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication (professional, clear, concise)
  • Highly organized—can manage multiple tasks and close loops without reminders
  • Comfortable learning technical services and translating them into simple messaging
  • Experience with any of: CRM tools, email marketing, LinkedIn outreach, basic web CMS
  • Bonus: Canva, Adobe, HubSpot, Mailchimp, WordPress/Webflow, basic SEO knowledge
