A leading pension plan in Ontario is seeking a Managing Director of Enterprise Data to lead strategic data management initiatives. This role involves establishing data governance, developing data architecture for AI/ML, and collaborating with senior business leaders across various functions. The Managing Director, Enterprise Data is accountable for positioning data as a strategic asset for the enterprise by leading efforts to elevate the organization’s use, management and creation of value from data that is central to operation of OTPP’s businesses. This role defines and executes the enterprise-wide data strategy that enables business growth, enhances operational efficiency, supports regulatory compliance, and reduces risk. The leader will oversee the definition, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise data capabilities, including data management, data governance, architecture, platforms, and vendor strategy, ensuring the organization has a scalable, trusted, and future-ready foundation. As a senior member of the Technology Services leadership team, this role also contributes to the broader mandate of talent, culture, and innovation within the division.
Reporting to the Senior Managing Director, Technology Services, you will partner closely with the Business Technology heads to engage with Investments, Member Services, Risk, Compliance, and other corporate functions to align data initiatives with enterprise objectives. You will also interact regularly with senior leadership, internal governance groups, and external vendors to ensure alignment, compliance, and operational excellence.
