About the Role
Manager, Technical Services
This position plays a crucial role in supporting the Property Management team. You\'ll take the lead in designing, configuring, integrating, and implementing various property management systems essential to the company\'s operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, integration, programming, and implementation of core property management systems (PMS), covering areas like CRM, leasing, payments, reputation management, resident experience, security, and more.
- Act as the primary liaison with technology vendors, managing project timelines and ensuring successful collaboration.
- Analyze, test, and deploy upgrades to third-party applications within established schedules.
- Proactively review construction drawings to align evolving property management needs with planned technical infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data inconsistencies or errors across integrated PMS systems.
- Manage the setup of newly acquired properties within the company\'s primary PMS software, including unit setup, rent configuration, and more.
- Maintain system policies, security protocols, and overall software functionality.
- Onboard new users, troubleshoot technical PMS issues, and provide necessary travel for on-site support as needed.
- Contribute to the IT / AV setup of property model suites.
- Perform administrative tasks within various PMS systems and ensure accurate reporting through data validation.
- Provide training on systems and develop clear training documentation.
- Lead the setup and data transfer of new properties into the company\'s chosen PMS systems.
- Assist with on-site technical setups, including phone systems, internet, and other essential technologies.
- Collaborate with leadership to procure necessary equipment for new team members.
- Facilitate the onboarding of new hires with software logins and email setup.
- Create and distribute a regular newsletter with technical tips for employees.
- Manage a system for tracking service tickets and requests.
Qualifications and Experiences
- Minimum of 5 years of experience administering a core PMS system, ideally with a strong focus on Yardi Voyager.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting software implementations, development, and database administration.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) for effective collaboration with senior management, team members, and vendors.
- Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports aligning with accounting and budgeting principles.
- At least one year of experience with SQL, including complex joins and conditional statements.
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles is beneficial in mitigating potential errors.
