We’re looking for a dynamic and empowering Sales Development Manager who will be responsible for building and leading a team of enterprise ADRs. The role focuses on leadership, development, and fostering a high-performance culture to achieve our rapid sales goals.
This role is a hybrid working model based in our Toronto office long-term.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will focus on two core priorities: Talent Development & Revenue Development. We see our Account Development Representatives as the next generation of Account Executives at MongoDB. A Sales Development leader at MongoDB hires outstanding talent, identifies skill gaps, holds reps accountable, and helps develop them into AEs. You will also partner with regional leaders across our sales organization to uncover new opportunities, unlock new territories, and drive revenue into our pipeline.
Day to Day
- Attract, hire, retain, and develop talent
- Provide coaching and mentoring based on a deep understanding of sales, our business model, and sales methodology
- Participate in prospect qualification and discovery calls/meetings
- Provide weekly team performance summaries and accurate forecasts to senior management
- Collaborate cross-functionally to establish scalable processes for lead management, follow-up SLAs, and conversions
- Develop and monitor KPIs, supervise team activity, track results, and drive execution based on metrics
- Work closely with Field and Inside Sales management to improve performance and align pipeline production with team needs
- Invest in self-development to enhance skills and attributes for current and future success
What You Will Bring to the Table
- 2+ years experience prospecting and closing as an individual contributor
- 2+ years experience leading and managing teams, with a track record of hiring, developing, and promoting talent
- Experience in complex enterprise software sales, involving technical and multi-level decision-making
- Experience in open source software sales is a plus
- Excellent verbal, written, listening, and presentation skills; credible with team members, customers, candidates, and all organizational levels including senior management
- Proven top performer with results-oriented mindset and a history of overachievement (e.g., President’s Club, Rep of the Year)
- Experience implementing and using a sales methodology
