Job description
About the Role

Vidyard is looking for a Manager to lead our Sales Development team (XDRs). Reporting to the VP, Marketing, the XDR team is the lifeblood of our organization by efficiently bringing in, and sourcing, high-quality pipelines for our sellers. You will play a key role in developing talent that will become the next generation of Vidyard AEs and AMs.

This is an incredibly unique opportunity for the right person. Someone who is data and process driven, thrives in an environment of continuous improvement, and wants to be in a role where no two days are the same with a massive opportunity for impact.

Our mission is to create the future of productive relationships with buyers and sellers and this team is a huge part of it (these teams will also be some of the biggest users of our exciting new AI Avatars product which represents our view of the future of B2B relationships).

This is a remote role open to candidates located in the US and Canada.

About the Team

Our Sales Development team consists of 3 XDRs who are responsible for converting inbound leads to pipeline and sourcing outbound pipeline. The team is talented, focused, and energetic!

What You’ll Work On
  • Manage a team that is critical to the current and future success of our organization. The team is currently comprised of 3 ICs.
  • Key goals for this role include optimizing our inbound process to maximize efficiency and conversions of calls into AE meetings (SQLs), ultimately helping to meet inbound pipeline targets.
  • Collaborate with Marketing & Sales Managers to iterate on inbound and outbound processes to accelerate TOFU pipeline via SDR and BDR channels.
  • Optimize the renewals process from initial outreach to contract completion, including identifying upsell opportunities. This includes:
  • Optimizing the process and timing for renewals outreach.
  • Optimizing our auto-renew process.
  • Stepping up customers from legacy discounting to current list prices.
  • Identifying and managing common objections in a scalable format (ideally using video!).
  • Promote our AI Avatars offering to customers to raise awareness and generate pipeline.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports to provide career progressions to future sales roles.
  • Leverage modern AI tools and techniques to scale the team.
  • Collaborate with the VP Marketing on pipeline elements and work cross-functionally with Operations and Product.
What You’ll Bring to this Role and Your New Team
  • Highly data-driven and process-oriented with at least 2-3 years of Sales Development management experience, preferably in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience managing an SDR/BDR team or a renewals team; curiosity about learning the other side of the business. Experience in both is a big plus.
  • An inspirational leader who can articulate the "why" behind the work and develop talent for future roles at Vidyard and beyond.
  • Comfortable managing early-career professionals and able to regularly context-switch and manage multiple priorities.
  • Data-focused, scrappy, and capable of proposing big changes to drive impact; not afraid to move quickly when needed.
  • Experience using Salesforce for reporting and dashboard analysis.
  • A proven talent scout able to build and develop a talent pipeline.
  • Experience with Zoominfo, Pocus, Gong.
