Job description
Overview

Quality Management Lead for our Corporate office. The Quality Management Lead, as a corporate role, reporting to the Executive Vice President, is responsible to implement, maintain and manage activities related to ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with company and regulatory requirements. He/she also assists with the coordination and training required under our quality programs.

Responsibilities
  • All aspects of the development, implementation and maintenance of Oceanex's ISO 9001 certified QMS;
  • With senior management, promote continual improvement and customer satisfaction throughout the organization;
  • Weekly/monthly reporting on the performance of the QMS to top management;
  • Collecting, compiling and reporting of management review inputs for top management’s review of the QMS;
  • Assist and coordinate the development and tracking of corporate objectives;
  • Promote consistent use of the nonconformance system and assist with root cause analysis and corrective action as required;
  • Collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends including failed processes, incidents, audit results and corrective actions to report to senior management;
  • Control of documented information across the company;
  • Plan, conduct and report QMS internal audits;
  • Coordinate external registration QMS audits;
  • Assist senior management to maintain the integrity of the QMS when changes to the system and its processes occur;
  • Assist senior management in determining, tracking and updating risks and opportunities associated with external and internal issues, interested parties and all levels of processes;
  • Assist senior management in upkeep of external and internal issues and needs and expectations of interested parties;
  • Assist senior management in determining the level of process documentation required to ensure consistent delivery of products and services to clients;
  • Assist senior management with development and maintenance of the sequence and interaction of operational, management and support processes, to enable meaningful measurement and reporting of performance criteria;
  • Assist procurement with supplier qualification and performance monitoring processes;
  • Conduct personnel orientations to the use and benefits of the QMS upon hire;
  • Encourage and promote quality awareness in all company activities;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • University degree in a related field or equivalent combination of experience and education;
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management in a leadership/coordinator role, preferably in the marine industry;
  • Broad knowledge of safety, compliance and quality regulatory requirements;
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISM standards;
  • Computer literate;
