Join our dynamic firm as a Manager and take the next step in your career as a trusted advisor to private business owners and not for profit entities.

The ideal candidate will use the accounting and tax knowledge acquired as a designated CPA in advising clients and other trusted advisors, mainly in tax, accounting and estate matters. The position will also provide mentorship opportunity to CPA candidates and junior staff within the firm. In addition, working closely alongside Partners of the firm in servicing clients, assisting with firm work flow and meeting client deadlines is a key responsibility of the position.

Responsibilities
  • Confidence in reviewing client files in accordance with Firm standards for clients in a variety of businesses and non-profit entities;
  • Effective communication with our clients, government agencies and with our partners and staff;
  • Possesses strong written and interpersonal communication skills dealing with a variety of clients and team members;
  • Experience with corporate income tax, personal tax and trust and estate returns;
  • Familiar with software including CaseWare, TaxPrep, CCH iFirm, and Microsoft Office;
  • Familiarity with Quickbooks Desktop, Quickbooks Online, Sage, Xero and other bookkeeping software is a bonus;
  • Enjoys providing advice and training to junior staff members;
  • Ability to function efficiently under pressure to meet client deadlines;
  • Possesses a strong desire to learn and grow and can self-start;
  • Ability to oversee client relationships;
  • Workflow management and staff resource allocation
Qualifications
  • Designated CPA;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
  • Strong work ethic, excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Strong communication skills in conveying technical knowledge to useful information to clients and junior staff;
  • Enrollment in or actively pursuing the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program.
