Your Opportunity

Location: Canada (flexible / hybrid)

BDO Canada is seeking a Manager, Integration & Technical Consulting to help grow and lead our Tech Services Center of Expertise. We’re looking for an integration professional who is a strong team facilitator, proven leader, fast learner, and self-starter, someone eager to bring fresh perspectives and strengthen our technical services practice.

Responsibilities
  • Integration Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to clients and BDO project teams on the design, development, and deployment of complex system integrations across HR, Payroll, ERP, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Project Delivery: Lead all phases of integration projects: discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, go-live, and post-implementation support.
  • Team Facilitation & Coaching: Monitor team utilization and assign resources based on skills, availability, and project requirements. Directly manage an offshore team of five dedicated to Tech Services, ensuring effective communication, workload balancing, and professional growth. Mentor and coach team members, provide performance feedback, and guide career development. Provide mentorship and upskilling opportunities to team members to continually raise capability. Maintain and improve standard procedures, tools, and collaterals to support consistent delivery.
  • Center of Expertise Development: Champion best practices, own reusable tools, templates, and procedures, and help shape the long-term vision of the Tech Services Center of Expertise.
  • Technical Execution: Collect requirements, design, build, test, and deploy integrations using XML / XSLT, APIs (REST / SOAP), middleware, and other integration technologies.
  • Quality & Innovation: Ensure the quality of technical deliverables and encourage knowledge-sharing presentations to promote continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Stakeholder Management: Provide clear internal status updates, identify risks / issues, and recommend resolutions while managing multiple client engagements.

Qualifications
  • Experience: 5–7 years of experience designing and managing system integrations in HCM, ERP, or related enterprise platforms (HRIS experience an asset).
  • Leadership: 3–5 years leading technical teams or integration projects, ideally in a consulting or implementation environment.
  • Process knowledge: Understanding of HR / Payroll or related business processes and integration best practices.
  • Technical skills: Hands-on experience with integration technologies such as XML / XSLT, CSV, APIs (REST / SOAP), and middleware.
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and quickly learn new technologies and platforms.
  • Leadership & communication: Proven track record as a team leader and facilitator, with excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Analytics: Experience creating dashboards and reports is an asset.
