About the role

We’re looking for a Manager, Finance, to join our growing team!

What you’ll do here:

  • Help review and distribute quarterly and annual reports, including the financial statements of your sector’s insurance companies and other legal entities.
  • Take part in and manage projects addressing possibly complex matters.
  • Participate in detailed analysis reviews, including the quarterly analytical review.
  • Manage initiatives to align, streamline and automate processes.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of deliverables based on the changing needs of internal and external partners.
  • Help facilitate the audit process and liaise with internal and external auditors.
  • Supervise related duties (pension fund accounting, ad hoc management requests, etc.).

What you bring to the table:

  • CPA designation
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in accounting and accounting standards (IFRS)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Strong analytical skills, insight and discipline
  • Leadership skills, team player, independent and efficient
  • Ability to interact with a variety of people at all levels of the organization, including management and certain external contributors
  • Intermediate level working with Excel
  • Knowledge of P&C insurance industry is an asset
  • Bilingual (French and English) – Need to interact on a regular basis with an English-speaking clientele and colleagues across the country
