Reporting the Director, Human Resources, the Manager, Employee Health and Wellness is responsible for providing leadership and direction for MHNL\'s Health and Wellness department including occupational and non-occupational workplace health and its programs and directly manages the Occupational/Disability Management team.
Working closely with MHNL\'s Leadership teams and the Safety Management team, the Lead, Health and Wellness will strive to ensure that all health standards are met to safeguard the health and wellbeing of all employees within MHNL. The Manager will work to promote safe and healthy work practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory, legislative and community health requirements. This is achieved through policy, procedures and programs, as well as the ongoing monitoring and reporting of key performance indicators. The Lead, Health and Wellness will develop and oversee all overall health and wellness programs and processes, including the internal quality system so that short and long-term disability claims, on-the-job injury claims, and absenteeism are all greatly reduced.
