What is the opportunity?

The Manager, Community and Employee Engagement, RBC Global Asset Management (GAM), will be responsible for helping to support the development, implementation, and activation of RBC GAM's community engagement program.

In this role, the successful candidate will support several key community engagement initiatives, including storytelling and amplifying GAM's community investments, ensuring success for the GAM Employee Community Engagement Program.

What will you do?
  • Support the development of new programming that align with RBC's strategic ambitions that help to tell RBC GAM's corporate citizenship story.
  • Help to plan, activate, and amplify GAM's strategic community investments and partnerships, including coordinating with senior leadership, storytelling, project management, event execution, development of brand assets (i.e., messaging, video, and signage), etc.
  • Support the RBC GAM Employee Community Engagement Program. Monitor and grow employee volunteer hours in their community or ensure strategic investment of funds in the program. Track the success and impact of the program.
  • Measure, analyze, and report on the performance of RBC GAM Foundation and Community Engagement initiatives, including social impact and diversity and inclusion.
  • Act as one of the champions for RBC’s Celebration of Impact by organizing and promoting initiatives for RBC GAM’s employees to get involved and give back to our communities
What do you need to succeed?
  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing and communications role in a corporate or related agency environment
  • Post‑secondary degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • A strong passion for volunteering and supporting your community
  • Strong customer service ethic and ability to manage and cultivate relationships with a multitude of internal and external stakeholders
Nice-to-have
  • Past experience working within the charitable sector
  • Knowledge and/or prior experience working in sponsorship
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry
  • Experience working with online donations portal or similar
