As our Manager, Claims Experience you will be responsible for all claims and facilities management activities providing expertise, guidance, and advice to the Company. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, projects, and priorities of the claims department and contributes to the development of corporate strategy and future planning.

DIVE IN AND MAKE A SPLASH EVERY DAY, BY:

  • Providing strong leadership and direction for the claims department, guiding operations, approving complex claims, and supporting staff with expert-level decision making.
  • Managing day-to-day claims priorities and projects while ensuring seamless collaboration across departments.
  • Analyzing claims trends across products, regions, and lines of business and delivering clear, actionable reports.
  • Driving continuous improvement in claims processes to increase efficiency and enhance the customer experience.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with brokers, policyholders, and internal stakeholders to resolve conflicts and improve satisfaction.
  • Overseeing corporate facilities, managing service agreements, directing renovations, and partnering with the OH&S Committee to ensure a safe and efficient workplace.
  • Managing vehicle and branch office leases to support operational needs.
  • Playing a key role in corporate strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Leading by example to promote a positive, inclusive, and purpose-driven organizational culture.
What you bring to Sandbox
  • Education: A Fellowship Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) designation.
  • Experience: 5+ years in property & casualty claims; 3+ years managing high-performing teams.
  • Claims acumen: Knowledge of insurance claims principles and practices and operations and the impact of claims on the business of insurance; knowledge of the adjusting process.
  • Insurance Pro: Knowledge of insurance underwriting principles and practices and insurance distribution channels along with the ability to build strong relationships with brokers and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills: Ability to visualize, articulate, conceptualize, or solve problems by making decisions that are logical and reasonable given the available information.
  • Developing others: Practices a ‘hands-on’ approach when directing employees and empowers employees to be successful through training, developing, and coaching.
