Reporting to the Director, Finance, the role entails ensuring effective management of financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and systems integration, while providing insightful financial planning and team leadership to align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the organization’s finance and accounting operations.
  • Prepare the business analysis approach, stakeholder engagement, governance, information management, and performance improvements.
  • Manage day-to-day finance operations and ensure efficient, accurate financial processes and reporting.
  • Lead month-end closing, journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning aligned with corporate strategy.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS).
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and performance management for the finance team.
  • Drive system integration and process improvements across financial and administrative platforms.
  • Provide financial insights and advice to senior management and project teams.
  • Support organizational growth through policy recommendations and user training.
What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 6-8 years’ experience in a related position.
  • University degree in Commerce or Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Advanced understanding of IFRS, financial management principles, costing models, budgeting and forecasting, accounts payable and receivable processes and procedures.
  • Ability to innovate and think strategically and conceptually.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and aligning financial strategies with organizational goals.
  • Deep understanding of IFRS, financial reporting, internal controls, and complex accounting processes.
  • Experience in integrating financial systems and streamlining processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Skilled in financial analysis, research, and developing data-driven solutions to support strategic decisions.
  • Ability to clearly communicate financial information and collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
