Job summary

A non-profit research organization in Halifax seeks a Major Projects Researcher for a 12-week position. The researcher will collect data to update the Major Projects Inventory, engaging with stakeholders across Atlantic Canada. Ideal candidates will have research experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of the Atlantic Canadian economy. The role is hybrid, with two days on-site. Pay is $23 per hour, and the application deadline is February 9th.

Qualifications

  • Previous research experience in a business setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Atlantic Canadian economy.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong Excel background and experience maintaining databases.
  • Ability to effectively organize and self-manage.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Knowledge of the construction sector would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Collect primary data and information from companies and government departments.
  • Update the Major Projects Inventory.
  • Engage with stakeholders involved in projects.
