Your Opportunity

This Bed Shop Lead/Maintenance Worker IV position is that of a working Lead. Approximately 50% of work scope will be working alongside Bed Shop Technicians/Maintenance Worker III’s performing repairs and preventative maintenance on various types of hospital beds, stretchers and wheelchairs. Approximately 50% of work scope for this position will be coordinating Bed Shop safety, workflows/triage, material needs, warranty claims and communication with various departments.

Description

As a Maintenance Worker IV, you will perform a variety of highly skilled and complex maintenance and repair work requiring considerable initiative and judgment in determining the appropriate work methods consistent with standards, regulations and procedures. You will utilize your supervisory and/or maintenance skills and experience to perform preventative maintenance and repair duties on specialized equipment and building control systems, and to provide leadership and direction to other maintenance staff in order to meet operational requirements. In addition, you will perform specialized machine repairs, as well as the maintenance and monitoring of systems and equipment. You may be responsible to resolve escalated operational issues; act as a delegate for the Manager on operational issues; participate in the recruitment and selection of new staff; assisting the design and implementation of preventative maintenance programs; estimate project costs; and liaise with outside agencies and contractors.

Required Qualifications

Manufacturer/factory training, and patient bed & stretcher repair experience is a requirement for this position.
