Position: Maintenance Technician (Electrician) – St. Andrews, New Brunswick

This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs in our production facilities. The Maintenance Electrician will collaborate with other departments and third-party agencies and technicians and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.

Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and installations following schedules and checklists.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and repair defects or malfunctions, including emergency and corrective repairs.
  • Execute planned and complex maintenance tasks, sometimes supervising third-party technicians.
  • Order spare parts, materials, or custom-made components as needed for maintenance or repairs.
  • Carry out modifications, overhauls, and propose technical improvements based on expertise.
  • Collaborate with management on quality and technical issues, providing solutions to avoid recurring problems.
  • Log all maintenance activities in maintenance management systems to ensure proper records and equipment history.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and procedures, addressing hazards proactively.
Qualifications
  • Completion of Electrical apprenticeship.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to operate under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate and deal with various stakeholders with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Adaptable to a flexible work style and willingness to assist other functions where needed.
