To excel in this role, you should be :

• Minimum of two three years previous experience considered an asset
• Completed Grade 12 education
• Clean Driver's abstract required
• Able to use basic power tools and complete basic building maintenance
• Basic command of the English language (written and verbal)
• Exceptional skills in communications, organizational, interpersonal and time management
• Plumbing knowledge would be considered an asset
• Proven experience in exercising good judgement under pressure
• Physically fit, able to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time an lift in excess of 25 kilograms
• Carpentry / Construction skills considered an asset
• Strong customer care and communication skill

What will your role involve?

As a Maintenance Technician , your primary responsibilities will include :

• Perform general maintenance tasks that may include : millwork (countertops), repair / install doors, interior painting, drywall repairs and other similar duties.
• Knowledge of using various power tools, painting, drywall repairs an asset
• Assist with building operations functions as required
• Fit and install trim, doors, moulding and hardware
• Repair and refinish furniture
• Perform finished carpentry for cabinets and other items
• Operate a variety of standard power tools and equipment
• Respond immediately to emergencies
• Respond immediately to service requests and emergencies that address client and building related issues
