Maintenance Technician

Purpose of Role: The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the reliability, safety, and efficiency of industrial equipment and systems. They will be performing preventative and reactive maintenance on various machines as well as maintaining the upkeep of the building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled inspections and maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan. Tasks include lubricating parts, tightening bolts, and replacing worn components.
  • Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues by diagnosing problems and restoring systems to full operation in order to minimize downtime.
  • Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems (e.g., HVAC, fire alarms) to identify potential issues or safety hazards. Maintain and troubleshoot building systems, including HVAC, electrical wiring, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
  • Installation: Assemble and install new machinery or equipment as required.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document maintenance activities, repair histories, and parts inventories using computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience with industrial maintenance, mechanical support, equipment repair, and installation of machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Computer skills – ability to maintain documents and repair history.
