Job summary

A reputable maintenance company in Canada is seeking skilled individuals to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment safely. Candidates must possess an Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate and be able to work in varied conditions. Responsibilities include performing electrical and mechanical repairs, completing administrative tasks, and adhering to safety regulations. The ideal applicants will have strong troubleshooting skills and basic computer proficiency, along with the ability to lift heavy equipment and work overtime when required.

Qualifications

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Minimum age requirement is 18 years old.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 50lbs and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to work in varied conditions including heat, cold, and noise.
  • Previous experience with MRO and/or MRP is an advantage.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment safely while abiding by all policies & procedures
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Follow company policies (performance, safety, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment
  • Perform administrative tasks including completing permits, parts ordering, and work order completion
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Must be legally entitled to work for the company in Canada
  • Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
  • Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Millwright Certificate (Full License)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending/stooping, lifting a minimum of 50lbs, kneeling, climbing ladders and open/close valves
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (Verbal/Written)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts with advanced notice
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Able to perform maintenance trades including electrical, machinist, welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, rigging systems, gearbox and bearing, maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems
  • Previous experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Ops) and/or MRP (Material Requirement Planning)
