Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

  • Minimize production interruptions through troubleshooting and production equipment maintenance and rebuilds in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and using safe operating procedures.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and auxiliary equipment.
  • Respond to mechanical breakdowns and ensure proper functioning on completion.
  • Diagnosing situational and ongoing problems; assess and repair breakdowns.
  • Fabricate parts using machine shop equipment.
  • To improve efficiency and safety, use parts and techniques to modify equipment operation and guarding.
  • Machine installation or moves as required including set-up and pre-start.
Qualifications

  • Certificate of qualification – Millwright. Red Seal.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Industrial environment.
  • Certification in machine shop equipment (ie: lathe, milling, welder).
  • Excellent knowledge of machines and their capacity.
  • Flexibility, adaptable team player with excellent organizational, time management and planning skills.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), computer skills.
  • Priority driven, self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • Flexible and able to work shifts, varied or steady schedules.
