A health service provider in Winnipeg is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer responsible for performing maintenance on essential hospital equipment and systems. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of HVAC principles, have a valid Third-Class Power Engineer certificate, and have a minimum of three years' experience in the relevant field. This position involves working independently while adhering to safety practices and ensuring effective operation of mechanical and electrical systems in a hospital environment.

Under the general direction of the Manager, Energy Centre, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Maintenance Engineer is responsible for: performing preventive and corrective maintenance as per work orders to Hospital equipment and systems; performing the operation and maintenance of building essential services, equipment and systems both mechanical and electrical as applicable; functioning as an assistant to the Shift Engineer in the Energy Centre and participating in the operation of high voltage electric and gas/oil fired boilers, centrifugal refrigeration compressors and related equipment in accordance with the regulations of the Power Engineers' Act; operating the building HVAC automation systems; and performing other related duties as assigned.
