Job description

VG Meats is seeking qualified and positive candidates to join as a working leader for our Logistics Team. Responsibilities include mapping routes, coordinating driver vacation schedules, performing local runs, ensuring order accuracy, liaising with the driver team, and working with management to improve KPIs for the Driver Department. Job Description :
  1. Determine shipment methods and arrange shipping; prepare bills of lading, customs forms, invoices, and other documents manually or via computer.
  2. Assemble containers and crates, record contents, pack goods, and affix shipping information.
  3. Oversee loading and unloading of goods.
  4. Inspect incoming goods, record shortages, and reject damaged items.
  5. Unpack, code, and route goods to storage.
  6. Maintain record-keeping systems.
  7. Operate forklifts and other equipment for loading, unloading, and transport.
  8. Experience in clerical or warehouse roles is preferred.
Additional Responsibilities :
  • Coordinate route plans and personnel to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Monitor KPIs and review planned vs. actual performance.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide progress updates.
  • Develop team members' skills.
  • Coordinate with production to accommodate schedules.
  • Assemble orders and communicate delivery schedules to customers and production.
  • Assist with order completion after hours.
  • Perform supervisory duties as needed.

Pay rate : $27/hour

Requirements :
  • Valid driver’s license
  • At least 5 years of driving experience
  • Ability to load and unload trucks
  • Good communication skills in English
  • Self-motivated
  • Clean driver’s abstract
