Logistics Specialist

YOUR ROLE

Responsible for controlling the receipt, the warehousing and shipment of material, coordination of getting the material to the warehouse and working with the appropriate departments to ship the material to the consignee. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
  • Provide customer service to assigned base of accounts.
  • Determine customer requirements and establish effective processes to ensure requirements are met.
  • Coordinate requirements with the established shippers.
  • Track material as required.
  • Update receipts and shipping information into appropriate warehouse system(s).
  • Prepare packing and shipping documents.
  • Publish operational and management reports.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Ability to read, comprehend and write basic correspondence.
  • Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • PC Literate. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs.
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Balances team and individual responsibilities.
  • Consistently at work and on time.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 - 2 years related experience
  • 1 year industry experience
