7-Eleven Distribution Canada Corp. is looking for a motivated Full-time, Evening Logistics and Dispatch Planner to work out of our Calgary, AB branch that strives for high levels of customer service, teamwork, and efficiency. We are looking for ambitious and hardworking professionals. We take pride in our fill rates, accuracy, and safety records. Accuracy and efficiency are essential to our mutual success.

The Evening Logistics and Dispatch Planner will be responsible for dispatching, general office procedures, customer service, invoices, and data entry. The position will mainly involve dispatching and data entry. The candidate must have excellent communication skills; be self-motivated, a team player, able to multi-task, reliable, dependable, and flexible with a good work ethic.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years FTL/LTL dispatch experience is required

  • Minimum 2 years LTL/FTL dock supervisory experience an asset

  • Familiar with the use of TMS (Transportation Management System) is required

  • High School completion or equivalent

  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to handle difficult situations calmly, especially during customer complaints

  • Proficient in working with Excel, Outlook, Microsoft etc.

  • Minimum 2 years of customer service-related experience

Role: Evening Logistics and Dispatch Planner, Duties & Responsibilities
  • Will train all aspects of the SEDCC Dispatch processes

  • Updating and maintaining our electronic dispatch board

  • Schedule deliveries and pickups

  • Ensure driver compliance with E-Logs and transportation regulations and laws

  • Monitoring truck and trailer repairs and ensuring regular maintenance

  • Organizing paperwork for outbound and inbound loads

  • Prepare and manage shipping documentation (POD’s), including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and import/export documentation

  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations governing transportation and logistics.

  • Communicating with customers, shippers, drivers, and other branches

  • Following up to ensure timely completion of tasks with Logistics teammates
