Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Desk Adjuster to join a dedicated team within our Inside Claims Commercial Lines team, remotely in Canada.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle commercial auto AB and BI claims on the desktop for one dedicated client using a variety of techniques and systems. The candidate will direct field adjusters on a task basis as required. The candidate will participate in ensuring accurate recording, reporting and presentation of files.

Qualifications
  • Ability to conduct telephone investigations, evaluate, negotiate and settle first- and third-party commercial lines claims
  • Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field; working toward full license and CIP designation is required
  • Minimum of 4 CIP credits completed with ability to obtain a probationary adjusting license for Ontario
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction and reserve records
  • Advanced computer skills including Office 365 and Windows 10
  • Excellent communication skills; must be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer service. Licensed in multiple provinces including Alberta and British Columbia or, if unlicensed, the ability to obtain a license is required
  • French/English bilingualism would be considered an asset
