Job summary

A prominent Canadian educational institution is seeking a Lifeguard to oversee safety at the Memorial pool. Position Summary:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Lifeguard will be expected to perform the following duties at the Memorial pool.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Expected to open and close pool area depending on schedule worked.
  • Perform setup and take down of equipment depending on upcoming daily events or pool usage.
  • Maintain constant surveillance of patrons in or around the pool.
  • Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an emergency.
  • Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
  • Maintain a clean and organized office, equipment room, and pool area.
  • Assist with occasional administrative tasks.
