Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) applies the nursing process to support clients, residents, and patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health within a people-centered care approach across Acute, Transitional, Personal Care Home (PCH), Primary Care, Public Health‑Healthy Living, and Home Care settings. The LPN works to full scope of practice, engages in ongoing education, and maintains competency in accordance with Southern Health‑Santé Sud policies, Professional Standards of Practice, the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Code of Ethics, the Competency Profile for Licensed Practical Nurses in Manitoba, and the Regulated Health Professions Act. The incumbent exercises appropriate initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities and methods, and takes action on unusual matters. The position functions consistently with the mission, vision, values, and policies of Southern Health‑Santé Sud.

Job Details

Location: Bethesda Regional Health Centre / Bethesda Place, Steinbach. Position: Temporary, 0.57 FTE. Work arrangement: In Person. Daily hours: 7.75 & 11.625. Shift: Days, Nights, Weekends. Start/End: As mutually agreed upon – 07/10/2026. Salary: $33.23 – $42.69.

  • May work occasionally evenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Will be required to travel to other regional facilities as the position duties may require.
Additional Requirements
  • Complies with a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred.
  • All Health Care Workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern Health‑Santé Sud policy.
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.
