Job Information

Are you interested in providing a wide range of primary health care services? Ready to be a member of an integrated health care team and work collaboratively with Public Health, Homecare and other members of the integrated health care teams. Join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse, where majority of services take place located in Yellowknife, NT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides nursing support to the practitioners in the clinic, including direct nursing care before and after procedures being performed.
  • Facilitate, support and promote a culture of teamwork.
  • Facilitate, implement and modify patient and family educational/teaching based on the needs of the patient in conjunction with members of the Integrated Care Team.
Key Qualifications
  • A Practical Nursing Diploma from a Licensed Practical Nursing Program.
  • Medication Administration course or certificate.
  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary model.
  • Understanding of, and an ability to apply, the nursing processes (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation) within the LPN scope of practice.
  • Expertise to provide training, advice and assessment using specialized equipment, medications, tools, and techniques.
