In keeping with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Park Place, the LPN/RPN, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, uses the nursing process and applies nursing knowledge, skills and clinical judgment in performing assessments, planning, implementing, and providing quality and person-centred nursing care to Residents. The LPN/RPN operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice as outlined by the relevant provincial governing body’s practice standards and Code of Ethics and Park Place policies and procedures. The LPN/RPN practices in a setting where the client care needs are established and changes in health condition are predictable and ensures a commitment to Park Place’s “culture of safety.”

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care to Residents in accordance with the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement and adjust resident care plans.
  • Operate within the full scope of practice and adhere to provincial practice standards and Park Place policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and high-quality care.
  • Participate in committees and decision-making processes affecting the organization.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Alberta (RPN considered where applicable per province) with current licensure.
  • Experience in seniors’ care and/or long-term care settings is preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to meet residents’ needs.
