Leasing Manager - Toronto Auto Leasing (TAL)

The Organization :

BMW Toronto is an independently owned and operated BMW and MINI dealership in downtown Toronto. It is a leader in providing sales of new and pre-owned vehicles, offering superior vehicle service, and now financing/leasing all the products they sell to Ontario's automotive market. Since 2002, BMW Toronto has been successfully supplying quality products and leading service solutions to the Ontario market. The Work :

Toronto Auto Leasing (TAL) is responsible for increasing and growing BMW Toronto's in-house lease fleet profitably without exposing the principals to undue risk.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Build dealership relationships to establish new business
  • Visit dealerships to maintain performance in existing relationships
  • Support dealers to increase profitability in leasing
  • Assist dealers to improve productivity and sales performance
  • Train and support dealership personnel in leasing, in partnership with our Dealer Training group
  • Provide excellent service to all dealerships
  • Report daily quantifiable results of work
  • Provide monthly performance visibility to dealers and partners
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with the General Manager
  • Handle credit adjudication and set residual values based on market changes

What we are looking for

  • At least 5 years of automotive sales or management experience
  • Experience in F&I is an asset
  • Ability to manage credit adjudication maturely
  • Leadership skills to manage a team
  • Proven performance in challenging automotive sales environments
  • Track record of driving performance in indirect sales
  • Winning mindset, setting pace and example
  • Proficiency with all in-house DMS systems
  • Understanding deal structure, funding, risk, and profitability
  • Knowledge of wholesale values and markets for residual structuring
  • Understanding factory retail vs. in-house wholesale leases
  • Ability to manage credit or default issues
  • Customer concern management skills
  • Focus on excellent client experience and retention

Education :

  • Post-secondary education
  • Willingness to complete licensing programs as applicable

Experience :

  • Proven sales success and world-class performance
  • Minimum 5 years in automotive management
  • Mandatory credit adjudication experience
