About the Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Hand Roofer to oversee roofing projects and lead a dedicated team. If you have strong roofing expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to quality, we want you on our team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct roof pre-inspections to assess project needs
• Measure, cut, and prepare materials for roofing projects
• Install various roofing systems, including shingles, metal, and flat roofs
• Repair, replace, or seal areas to ensure roofs are watertight on residential and commercial buildings
• Oversee and direct crew members for safe, efficient, and high-quality work
• Communicate regularly with the Project Manager, providing updates and recommendations
• Calculate material needs and submit accurate material request sheets
• Interact professionally with clients, addressing concerns promptly
• Manage site set-up, ongoing work, and cleanup upon project completion

Requirements

• Proven experience as a roofer with hands-on expertise in multiple roofing systems
• Skilled in carpentry and other trade work
• Strong knowledge of power and hand tools, with experience erecting and dismantling staging
• CSA-approved safety toe boots
• Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions
• Strong commitment to safety, following all guidelines
• Effective time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
• Leadership ability to motivate and guide crew members
• Excellent communication and client-focused approach
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions precisely
• Valid driver’s license Class 5 and Criminal record clearance
