Overview

Lead iOS Developer (Swift – Voice & Accessibility Focus) – H&N Research Inc. Montreal / Remote (Canada Preferred) | Contract-to-Permanent | Health-Tech | Immediate Start

H&N Research Inc. is building the next frontier in AI-powered, on-device health and nutrition. Our project supports chronic care patients—including elderly users, those with kidney disease, diabetes, and cognitive impairments—by delivering secure, HIPAA / PIPEDA-compliant nutrition intelligence right from their phones. We’re seeking a senior iOS developer (Swift) to help build Phase 2 of our app: a fully voice-driven, on-device assistant for medical nutrition support.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of a Swift native iOS app, integrating:
• Speech recognition (Speech framework)
• Voice synthesis (AVFoundation)
• On-device NLP (SiriKit or Core ML-based intent matching)
• HealthKit integration for real-time health data processing
• Build secure local data flows (no cloud reliance)
• Design with accessibility first: large text, high contrast, audio guidance
• Collaborate with UI / UX and AI integration teams to simulate “AI Assistant” behaviors
• Work from Montreal remote or hybrid

Required Skills / Qualifications

• 3+ years of iOS app development in Swift
• Experience with voice-first UIs (Speech, AVSpeechSynthesizer)
• Strong knowledge of HealthKit, Core ML, and local data privacy
• Accessibility-aware design using SwiftUI
• Bonus: Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, wellness, insurance)
