A leading technology services provider in Toronto is seeking an experienced AI Architect to design innovative AI solutions. The role requires expertise in generative and agentic AI, with a focus on multi-agent systems. Ideal candidates will have a PhD or equivalent experience and must demonstrate a strong background in building production-grade AI systems. This position offers opportunities for career growth and a comprehensive benefits package.
At Kyndryl, we design, build, manage and modernize the mission‑critical technology systems that the world depends on every day. So why work at Kyndryl? We are always moving forward – always pushing ourselves to go further in our efforts to build a more equitable, inclusive world for our employees, our customers and our communities.
Responsible for the architecture of applications. Defines application and technical component composition and interactions which address functional and non‑functional requirements. Selects, defines and documents technology choices that best address requirements and constraints. Performs viability assessments to analyze and resolve architectural weaknesses. An application architect will need to interact effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and specialists to oversee the planning and implementation of applications.
We seek a visionary AI Architect to pioneer next‑generation AI solutions integratingGenerative AI,Agentic AI architectures, andcollaborative Agentic Mesh ecosystems. This role demands expertise in designing self‑organizing AI systems that blend large language models (LLMs), small language models (SLMs), and multi‑agent frameworks to drive disruptive technological transformation. Candidates must demonstrate mastery in translating theoretical AI advancements into scalable, ethical systems with measurable real‑world impact.
DesignGenerative AI systemsleveraging GANs, VAEs, and transformer‑based models for content synthesis, simulation, and data augmentation
ArchitectAgentic AI frameworksusing LangChain, Hugging Face, GCP Agentspace, Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, and vector databases to enable autonomous problem‑solving and adaptive learning
ImplementAgentic Mesh ecosystemswhere AI agents collaborate dynamically, combining language, behavioral, and domain‑specific capabilities
Develop novel techniques for LLM/SLM fine‑tuning, including retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) and context‑aware prompt engineering
Optimize inference performance for real‑time applications using MLOps pipelines and cloud‑native deployment using native PaaS
Lead R&D initiatives in neuro‑symbolic AI, mechanistic interpretability, and ethical guardrails for autonomous systems
Work with high performance teams in deploying AI systems that redefine industry standards (e.g., healthcare diagnostics, financial forecasting, supply chain resilience).
Collaborate on publishing whitepapers and patents on emergent AI architectures, emphasizing sustainability and bias mitigation
Every position at Kyndryl offers a way forward to grow your career, from a Junior Architect to Principal Architect – we have opportunities for that you won’t find anywhere else, including hands‑on experience, learning opportunities, and the chance to certify in all four major platforms.
