  • Assemble documentary evidence in preparation for trial
  • Coordinate administrative services
  • Draft contracts, prepare promissory notes and draw up wills, mortgages and other legal documents
  • Handle probate to certify the validity of a will
  • Help in preparing and completing applications for simple joint and uncontested divorces, domestic contracts and name changes
  • Interview clients, witnesses and other related parties
  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintaining filing systems
  • Prepare wills, real estate transactions and other legal documents, court reports and affidavits
  • Receive affidavits, declarations and affirmations
  • Witness and certify the validity of signatures on documents
  • Collect and record administrative and service fees
  • Draft legal correspondence
  • Call courts of law to order, read charges and take pleas from defendants
