Job description

Location: Powell River/qathet Regional District

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-4pm

Salary Or Wage: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour

Job Type: Full Time

List of Requirements

• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors, bent over in garden beds.
• Enjoy working in team environment and in all weather conditions
• Ability to organize work
• Plant/Horticultural knowledge and ID is a key asset
• Knowledge of plants and their care requirements, a working knowledge of tree and shrub care
• Driver’s license and clean driving record required
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Comfort with being an early riser 5 days a week, we start on site typically at 7:30-8am

List of Duties

• Perform regular maintenance of landscape beds, walkways, and hardscape including mowing, pruning, weeding, deadheading etc.
• Experience driving large vehicles and pulling a trailer is an asset
• Keep a clean workspace and client environment
• Removal of green bin material from the job location
• Hedge trimming, shrub pruning, core aerating, lawn de-thatching
• Possible fertilizer application duties, and for other basic landscape labour
• Well – established landscaping company is currently looking for great people to join growing team for garden maintenance.
• Hiring for Seasonal Full time and Part-Time positions to work as part of a team, completing landscape maintenance for high-end strata – commercial and residential properties.
