A reputable construction company located in Fredericton, Canada, is seeking motivated individuals to assist in paint shop operations. Responsibilities include providing assistance with setting-up steel beams, loading them onto flatbed trucks, and ensuring proper strapping techniques are used. The ideal candidate must be able to work on their feet for long hours and be willing to work outside in various weather conditions. A completion of high school is required, and previous experience in a warehouse or structural steel fabrication is considered an asset. A full-time work schedule is offered.
Incorporated in 1955, Ocean Steel services several markets, including Atlantic Canada, the Eastern United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Although they specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel for buildings and bridges, they also manufacture and install platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process & storage tanks and custom process-equipment. OceanSteel’s two New Brunswick plants include the original location in Saint John, as well as the York Steel Plant in Fredericton, which was acquired by Ocean Steel in 1995.
